 Treeguards gone - looks a lot better

Nangiloc and District Kindergarten and Kulkyne Way Landcare Group removed the tree guards from revegetation works carried out at the Chalka Creek in Hattah Kulkyne National Park.

  • Tree guards were removed from 780 tubestock planted in November 2005.
  • The establishment success of tubestock planting was very high, ranging from 80% to 89%, depending on the site.
  • Nine adults and nine children joined in. Some confessed to have never been "that far into the park before" and was glad we weren't going further in because she couldn't use the 4WD on her new car! Some of us didn't know there was an all weather access, concrete boat ramp there either.
